This darn sprained ankle is not going to ruin my cheerleading this year! I have to get to practice; I can’t just sit out and watch all the other cheerleaders jumping and kicking and dancing. Maybe I can squeeze into my tennis shoes or even just a sock? Darn it! I’ll have to go with only one tennis shoe and this ankle brace. How unattractive!

I’m not going to let it stop me. I’m going to practice and practice and practice walking with my crutches, and I’m going to try my best to do all my cheerleading moves and steps with them as well. This sprained ankle won’t stop me!
